Minki was born and raised with her brother in picturesque Cape Town, South Africa. Her appreciation for her hometown is overwhelming. She feels so lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful place.

Minki's modeling career got off to a great start when she competed in the Miss South Africa Teen pageant. Her appearance in the pageant made her an instant success and by December 2000, there was no stopping her! A scout came to South Africa and discovered her when she was 16-years-old. When GUESS? Creative Director, Paul Marciano, met her he knew immediately that she had the beauty, energy, and charisma to be a GUESS? Girl.
Being a GUESS? model is hard work. For the GUESS? Fall 2002 photo shoot, Minki woke up extra early to start her thirteen-hour workdays. Despite the long hours, Minki says it's a lot of fun. She loves wearing the latest and greatest outfits and meeting so many wonderful people while traveling around the world.

When she's not busy working, Minki enjoys spending time with her family and friends and admits to being a party animal. She also likes pursuing her favorite hobby of long distance running. While this beauty likes to work hard, she claims that nothing is more relaxing than a nice, warm bubble bath.
