At the age of 14, Carrè Otis was already an experienced actress and model. Born September 28th, 1968 in San Francisco, California, Carrè spent a few years as a child actress before gaining international exposure appearing on the cover of French Elle. By the time she was 15, she was modeling and living in New York City.

When Paul Marciano, Co-CEO and Creative Director of GUESS?, saw her photos he immediately knew she’d be his next GUESS? Girl. In the late ‘90s, Carrè appeared in three consecutive GUESS? campaigns shot by photographer Ellen von Unwerth.
For the next ten years, Carrè continued to work with some of the world’s most famous photographers including Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts, and Matthew Rolston.

Film roles followed in White Orchid -- where she met her ex-husband-to-be, Mickey Rourke -- and later in the movies Exit In Red , and Simon Says. Carrè was also featured in the 1996 Pirelli Calendar, Playboy, and in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Millennium Edition.

Known for her rebellious streak, Carrè is an avid motorcyclist with five tattoos: a rose on her right ankle, a Japanese peace sign above the rose, a Tibetan symbol on her left ankle, a large angel on her back, and a Native American Thunderbird on her wrist.

A Tibetan Buddhist since she was 17, Carrè recently joined a humanitarian group called Medicine For Nepal. After participating in a trip where she delivered food and supplies to women and children in the Nepalese capital of Katmandu, Carrè decided to revisit her modeling career.

Carrè is currently a successful plus-size model who designs her own line of clothing and lives near the beach in California.
