Kim Smith, debuting in the Fall '99 campaign, is poised to join the supermodel ranks. When she does, she'll find herself in the company of Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Anna Nicole Smith, and Laetitia Casta - fellow models who received their first big break as GUESS? Girls.

Throughout the year, Kim had luck on her side. Born on March 3, 1983, the sixteen-year-old, brown haired, blue-eyed beauty beat out hundreds of contestants to win a model search contest in Dallas and signed with a local modeling agency.

On a whim, Kim's agent sent some of her test shots directly to Paul Marciano, President and Creative Director of GUESS?. After seeing her photos, he bought her a ticket on the very next flight to Los Angeles. She was booked on-the-spot for the Fall '99 campaign in Hollywood with photographer Pablo Alfaro. Without any prior modeling experience, Kim quickly proved to everyone that she was a natural. In February, Kim became the featured model for Maxim magazine's "Real Swimsuit Issue," landing the issue's cover as well as a six page spread. Look closely and you'll catch her chasing the 'N Sync boys through their "Bye, Bye, Bye" video and starring in their latest video for the single, "It's gonna Be Me."

Born and raised in Odessa, Texas, Kim stays grounded living with her parents and brother. When she isn't modeling, Kim goes to school and likes to spend time with her family and friends. She stays in shape by playing golf, eating healthy and getting lots of sleep. Kim plans to finish high school and then pursue her modeling career--in just that order.
