Damon maintains he’s just an ordinary, down-to-earth guy. But it was his stunning southern good looks and charm that landed him a starring role in the new GUESS? Santa Fe campaign.

Born in Newton, Alabama in 1978, the 6’2”, blue-eyed Damon was studying for his degree at the University of Alabama when the world of modeling beckoned.

For years, family and friends kept telling his mother Damon should model. Finally--at his mother and sister’s insistence--he attended a local Model Search Of America convention. He was signed on the spot by Madison Models, and flew to New York in July of 2000. Instead of the short trip he planned, Damon found himself taking up permanent residence in the big city.

After he moved to New York, Damon’s career took off. Soon, he was flying around the world, appearing in campaigns for some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. Having held previous jobs at a lead plant and with Pepsi-Cola, he found his new career a welcome change.

Damon enjoys traveling to exotic locations, but says the hardest part of modeling is the time he’s forced to spend away from his home and family.

If he wasn’t working as a model, he says he’d probably still be studying at the university and “working whatever job I could get.” With his recent work for GUESS?, it appears Damon can be as selective as he wants with any future career choices.


Who are your heroes? Why?
My parents. After 26 years they are still happily married and work hard everyday for everything they have.
What do you do to relax?
I like to read books, watch movies, play basketball, or lay around my apartment. Essentially: Eat, drink, and be merry!
What do you do to keep fit? Any good beauty secrets?
I play basketball, get lots of rest, and keep stress to a minimum. Oh, and I shower everyday!
What was the craziest thing to happen on a shoot?
I was flown into London to shoot a commercial. When I got there, they sent me home because they didn’t realize I had a southern accent. It was cool though, because I still got paid!
